WORKING OUT

Do you workout? Maybe you need a little more physcial fitness in your life. I have spent my fair share of time in the gym and today I thought I’d give some advice on how to get in shape.

First of all, it’s never too late to start. I ‘m in late thirties, my REALLY late thirties, I’m 44. Not to brag though, I have the body of a 43 1/2 year old. Here’s my simple regime. I generally start by warming up, stretching and then removing the extra weight of the Snickers bars from my sweat suit.

In the gym, never be shy about asking the trainers for assistance. In my experience they have always given great lifting advice as well as hints on how to dislodge one’s head from the weight machines. Also, remember don’t hesitate to call you family physician to get his approval for you to bend at the waist.

I used to think, what’s the big deal about exercising? Doctors say that it raises your heart rate but I would think, I can do that by drinking a 32 oz Mountain Dew!! But the real benefits changed my mind.

Yep, I love the challenge the gym poses in the way of the dipping, crunching, pumping and curling.. and that’s just me in front of the mirror in the dressing room after I’ve worked out.
