Home Gardening

It’s that time of year to dig in the dirt again. And no, I’m not talking about my annual tradition of burying all the Muscle magazines I bought, yet failed to spend the 10 minutes a week to get those rock hard abs as they suggested

It’s gardening time. Time to plant the plants, sow the seeds, cultivate the crops. With each new spring, many of us take a look at our yard and think.. I’m gonna spruce things up with some flowers!! And yep, $300 dollars and 200 lbs of peatmoss later most of our homes do look better too.. until the yearly drought and water ban starts. So, we’re left sneaking out at 3am trying save our precious blooms with a little illegal irrigation. Figthing the War of the roses with our neighbors who call the cops every time we even dare to sprinkle.

Gardening is one of those activities that is rather therapuetic. It’s a time you can use to take your mind off old, petty arguments with your boss and spend your energy on new petty arguments with your wife. I mean, no matter where I put the plant.. my wife is like.. move it to the left 2 inches.. move it up 4 inches.. move it back .. oh.. right there. And I promise, it always winds up exactly where it began. But after all isn’t that just like life?
