Baseball. Baseball season starts next week and what can I say, even the Bible speaks of the sport. The Old Testament starts with .. In the Big Inning!! Though Moses later took a stance against baseball, I do believe, when he delivered the 10 Commandments and stated... Though Shall Not Steal... 2nd Base.. Though that could be one of the looser translations. As baseball season rolls around it’s again time take to the diamond, choke up the bat, hit for the fence, tar the pine. I particularly like to watch the SHORTstop hit the LONG ball, the OUTfield batter take an INSIDE pitch, and the bull pen throw bean balls at the batter’s box.. when the dust settles though, it like Yogi Berra used to say, “Baseball is 90% mental and the other half is physical. Basebal too much though reminds me of my dating life as a single. I would try to catch the girl off base, right off the bat, only to strike out. I’ll close with one of my favorite metaphors for life concerning the great american pastime. It’s said, “You win some, you lose some, some get rained out.. but you gotta suit for’em all.” I’m Billy Murphy with Murphy’s Minute.
